Aegis Optikon is a new randomness standard with a fully functional core & API engine. We are hiring a Full‑Stack Security Engineer to refine, secure, maintain, and optimize this system for certification and scaling.
Responsibilities
- Backend development:
- Improve and maintain the existing randomness/entropy engine
- Design and implement secure APIs and services
- Add logging, monitoring, and audit capabilities
- Frontend development:
- Build dashboards for verification, monitoring, and partner access
- Implement clear, reliable UIs for technical and non‑technical users
- Security & compliance:
- Harden the system against attacks and misuse
- Apply secure coding practices across the stack
- Help prepare for certifications (e.g., NIST, FIPS, ISO)
- Infrastructure & tooling:
- Set up and maintain test environments
- Build reproducibility and validation tools
- Support integration with hardware and external systems
- Collaboration:
- Work with superiors to implement and improve existing architecture
- Provide professional input on security, reliability, and scalability
Requirements
- Solid experience in full‑stack development (backend + frontend)
- Strong understanding of security principles and secure coding
- Familiarity with cryptography basics, randomness/entropy, and threat models
- Experience building and maintaining APIs, web applications, and backend services
- Comfortable working with existing designs and improving them rather than replacing them
- Self‑driven, organized, and able to work independently
- Willingness to travel when needed
Nice to have:
- Experience with compliance, certification, or high‑assurance systems

Salary
$55,000–$75,000 per year, depending on experience, security expertise, and capabilities.
Career Path
Potential promotion to Technical Director with a full‑time contract and revised compensation after proven performance.
